Ingredient spotlight – Antioxidants
Antioxidants are natural compounds with the ability to protect the cells in your body from free radicals, which are very reactive molecules.
Free radicals are produced from oxygen and occurs naturally in the body, but they can also come from UV light, cigarette smoke and pollutions. Antioxidants neutralizes these harmful molecules and thereby protects the body’s own cells from oxidative stress and premature ageing.
Common powerful antioxidants include e.g., Vitamin C and E, carotenoids and selenium that often is found in fruit, berries, tea and nuts.
